Kit: The kit includes a wall liner, wall liner extension and fitting kit. The standard kit can be installed into walls up to 380 mm. For thicker walls, additional wall liner extensions are required.
Fitting: The DMX300 is designed for flush mounting, ensuring easy installation. It fits perfectly between two wall studs and offers extra security with no accessible fixings on the outside wall. Additionally, it can accommodate any wall thickness when used with the appropriate wall liner extensions.

DMX | Modular two way vent
Sealing a room for FK-5-1-12 (Novec) can be challenging, especially in smaller spaces. This is partly due to the way integrity testing works in small rooms. To make sealing easier, the new range of vents is designed to have almost zero leakage when closed.
The DMX is a modular 2-way vent for pressure relief with a 2-hour fire rating and an ultra-high seal. The patented system is specifically designed for FK-5-1-12 (Novec).
Full perimeter seal
This patented system uses two perimeter-sealed doors to provide both positive and negative pressure relief. The larger negative pressure door has a full perimeter foam seal, while the smaller positive pressure door features a unique double-skin magnetic seal. Both ensuring a complete seal when closed.
The positive pressure door opens at a low 100 pascals, helping to protect the structure from overpressure or underpressure caused by a gas suppression discharge. Since FK-5-1-12 creates a much stronger negative pressure than positive, this design helps maintain room integrity effectively.
The new DMX vent is designed to fit any wall thickness using DMX wall liner extensions (WLX), which simply bolt together - allowing you to add as many as needed. Built from the ground up, it is a flush-mounted modular system that secures from the inside, eliminating the need for external drilling or screws. Internal fixing bolts can be seen in the photo below.
Modular system
The DMX is a fully modular system, allowing for flexible installation and scalability. For larger venting requirements, multiple units can be ‘stacked’ together to increase capacity. This adaptability makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, from small enclosures to larger rooms requiring greater airflow management.

The system is available in two sizes: the DMX300 and DMX500, measuring 300 mm and 500 mm in width, respectively. The DMX300 is designed to fit perfectly between two wall studs with standard 16" centres, ensuring a straightforward installation process.

- 2-hour fire resistance rated by D.U.L Laboratories Ltd to BS 476 PART 20 1987, BS/EN 1366-3:2005, BS/EN 1363-1:2000 and BS/EN 13501-2:2004.
- Engineered for near-zero leakage when closed, the DMX helps maintain room integrity, making it easier to pass integrity tests.

DMXL
The DMX Louvre is specially designed for the DMX when mounted in outside walls. All external louvre parts are made from powder coated stainless steel for extra corrosion protection.
WLX
Wall liner extensions for mounting DMX in walls that exceed 15" thickness. With extra wall liners, minimal leakage and FVA will still be applicable.
