- Blast and pressure relief solutions for substations, where a vent is ducted from a switchgear unit. The vent size may need to match the dimensions of the ducting connected to the equipment.
In cases like these, a bespoke vent may be the only practical solution. However, whenever possible, designing around standard venting solutions remains the safest, fastest, and most cost-effective approach.

Downsides of Custom Solutions
While custom vents can solve these unique challenges, they come with clear disadvantages:
- Longer lead times. Manufacturing bespoke units takes more time than standard products.
- Higher costs. Custom design, and testing add to project expenses.
- Additional risk. Unproven designs may require extra validation and can increase liability.
